Pa. Sen. Bob Mensch Visits Green Jobs Training Center, Learns About Energy Efficiency Jobs

On February 23, Pa. Sen. Bob Mensch (R-24th District) visited the Knight Green Jobs Training Center in Philadelphia to learn more about energy efficiency jobs. The Center is run by the Energy Coordinating Agency of Philadelphia, a member of the Keystone Energy Efficiency Alliance.

Liz Robinson, the Executive Director of ECA and the President of KEEA, accompanied Sen. Mensch on his tour of the facility, along with ECA's Director of Training Walt Yakabosky, ECA's Director of Conservation Services Hank Wierzbicki, and KEEA's Policy Coordinator Matthew Klayman.

Founded just over one year ago, the Training Center has already trained over 1,000 men and women for green jobs in the energy efficiency industry and boasts great success at finding work for their trainees.

Sen. Mensch recently founded the bi-partisan "Economy, Business, & Jobs Caucus" and was visiting the Training Center to learn more about the job-creating prowess of the energy efficiency industry. represents the 24th District of Pennsylvania, including parts of Montgomery, Bucks, Northampton, and Lehigh Counties.
