American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
In 2008, KEEA also focused attention on federal energy legislation, particularly programs proposed under the Economic Recovery Act. KEEA became an early member of the National SAVE Energy Coalition, which worked with the U.S. Congress to secure substantial funding for energy programs in what became the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Through phone calls and emails by KEEA members, we were able to secure support from both PA senators for these provisions. KEEA now monitors and makes recommendations to state agencies on how these monies can be directed to energy efficiency services. For information on the PA ARRA funding, click here.
