A National Leader in Energy Efficiency Lending
Independent Connecticut Petroleum Association Names Peter Krajsa of AFC First Financial Corporation 2011 Associate Member of the Year for Efforts in Energy Efficiency Lending
October 7, 2011
A leading Connecticut trade association of energy companies, the Independent Connecticut Petroleum Association (ICPA), named AFC First Financial Corporation and its CEO, Peter Krajsa as Associate Member of the Year at the group's September 22, 2011 annual meeting.
The recognition was the result of AFC First's ongoing involvement and leadership in residential energy efficiency and renewable energy lending in Connecticut. Since 2006 AFC has provided over $30 million in financing to Connecticut homeowners specifically for heating and cooling upgrades, insulation and renewable energy improvements through a network of over 300 approved Connecticut contractors. It administers its national EnergyLoan program in Connecticut and has played key roles in the development of the Connecticut Solar Lease Program and Home Energy Solutions pilot financing program.
Gene Guilford, ICPA President and Donald Craft, Award Chair presented Krajsa a citation recognizing AFC First's support of the energy industry and Connecticut homeowners and its work in providing innovative and affordable options to consumers financing home energy efficiency upgrades.
Based in Allentown, PA, AFC First is a licensee of the Connecticut Department of Banking and operates residential energy efficiency lending programs nationally including Pennsylvania's Keystone Home Energy Loan Program, the Maine PACE program, the Illinois On-Bill Finance Program, state and utility programs in Kentucky, Delaware, Maryland and others as well as its national EnergyLoan program. One of three Fannie Mae approved Energy Lenders in the U.S., AFC First was recently named a national pilot lender for the HUD/DOE PowerSaver Loan program.
