Alternative Energy Investment Fund Programs

Keystone HELP Residential Energy Efficiency Program

This program provides low-interest rate loans to Pennsylvania residents for energy efficiency improvements to their homes, including the installation of energy-efficient heating and air conditioning systems, geothermal systems, insulation and air sealing. The Department of Environmental Protection is offering the program with the Pennsylvania Treasury Department, the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency and AFC First Financial. Small Business Energy Efficiency Grant Program

This program provides a 25 percent reimbursement grant, up to $25,000, to  Pennsylvania small businesses for equipment or  processes that promote energy efficiency and decrease consumption. For more information on this program click here.

 

The Renewable Energy Program
This program provides grants and loans for wind energy facilities and geothermal technologies, including opportunities for wind energy and geothermal manufacturers. For more information on this program click here.

 

Commonwealth Financing Authority -Alternative Energy Funding

Approximately $335 million in grants and loans are available to businesses or individuals for alternative fuel, clean energy and energy efficiency programs will be managed through the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED). Programs will focus on investing in infrastructure, economic development projects, and alternative energy companies. A High Performance Building Program, Geothermal and Wind Energy Projects, and Solar Energy programs are all apart of these funds. PA Energy Development Authority (PEDA) Grants and Loans for Alternative Energy
PEDA also provides grants, loans, and loan guarantees for alternative energy projects and related research projects. Clean, advanced energy projects potentially financed include solar, wind, hydro-power, geothermal, biomass, landfill gas, fuel cells, IGCC, waste coal, and coal-bed methane are all included. Office of Energy and Technology Deployment -Unsolicited Alternative Energy Project Proposals

The Department of Environmental Protection's Office of Energy and Technology Deployment (OETD) accepts unsolicited proposals for Alternative Energy Projects. OETD may consider unsolicited proposals for funding opportunities There is no deadline for submissions or responses. Click this link for more information.
