ENERGY STAR models allow consumers to save on energy costs. If all homes replace their stock of imaging equipment with newly qualified ENERGY STAR models, Americans will save $130 million annually, with an energy savings equivalent to lighting 650,000 U.S. homes for one year.

How to buy?
Look for the ENERGY STAR label (ENERGY STAR models require automatic duplex copying as default – paper and energy are both conserved as a result).
Choose a model with an automatic shut down function for detecting long periods of inactivity.
Choose an appropriate volume-sized copier to reduce excess energy usage.
